They called me repeatedly to sell me a health insurance policy, I told them to stop calling 10 times a day. Call me at 10:00 on Monday and I would discuss the policy with them. At 8:01 Monday morning Shanissa called about our "appointment" to discuss the policy she had found for me. It is with Central Life Insurance Company. She told me the premium and and all the things it would cover, 10 dr visits per year - including specialists (BIG RED FLAG right there). Then 20 to 35 copay after the 10 visits. Up to $100,000 in hospital coverage (another BIG RED FLAG) then drop to 60% coverage. Hmm, not really good insurance is it? Would cover one procedure: pap smear, mammogram or colonoscopy (I get two of the three annually and the colonoscopy every 5 years). I asked repeatedly to see the plan brochure in writing. She said they would email me the entire policy after I paid one month's premium. (BIG RED FLAG WITH FIREWORKS). I don't buy anything without seeing it first and reading all the fine print. She said she would email me the quote but the specifics would not be included. Policy has never shown up nor has she called again. When this many red flags slap me in the face I run as fast as I can - AWAY!

Cancelled and still charging me

The day I signed for this I called delta dental to cancel. They told me I was stuck for a year. I called central United and told them I had to cancel. They have been taking money from my checking account every month. I would like this to stop and I would like my money back. Contact your bank and tell them the problem and that you want to change your bank accounts so they cannot just take money from your checking or savings account. That's how you stop this.

Yes, the previous comments are differently true. I've had the most worst nightmare with this company. From the customer service Reps, to the supervisors, named Shawn and Fatima. On purpose, they have delayed payment for my claim. They have given excuse after excuse. Each time you speak with a rep. there is a different story, as to what's going on with your claim. The supervisor named Shawn, is extremely unprofessional, he will absolutely not return your calls. Supervisor Fatima, appears to be helpful, but not, she's apart of the deception as well. It's so sad, that a company, would go to such great lengths to defraud honest and hard working people. Please, Please, don't waist your hard earned money like I did, on such a DISHONEST COMPANY. "This company will differently Reap what they have Sown".

I have had a great experience with Central United Life. One of the many things that citizens and consumers of American now have to deal with is the idiocy of our fellow citizens. The above claims of "differently deception" or whatever the h**l he is talking about are just coming from a *** that didn't understand the coverage he or she was getting.

Central United Life Ins. Co. denies claim

Last year I underwent extensive testing to be admitted to a Liver transplant program. Other than my diseased liver, I was in good health and was admitted to the program. During the program I was continually monitored and had scans quarterly. One of the scans showed small tumors growing, so I had to undergo treatment. Also, due to my disease I was unable to work. I was moved up the list for transplant because of the tumors. I filed a claim on my cancer policy and my disability policy and this insurance company denied the claim and said I was previously diagnosed with cancer. Well that is a lie! I had every test imaginable prior to being admitted to the transplant program and didn't have cancer. I would avoid this insurance company like the plague if I were you. They will not pay your claims! They cancelled my insurance and are sending me my payments back. They said that I had abnormalities in the past. The only thing that I see that doctor for is ob gyn and the abnormality was a pap smear that the following year was normal. Like I said beware of this insurance company. They will find any reason not to pay.

Not Likely... This company has been around a very long time and pays all legitimate claims.

Although I have sympathy for your health condition and its effects on your life I'd hate to see someone misled. I do know that this company pays claims.

well my wife was denied a payent from this company with same lie about that she had that problem before which is a lie, right now 9/19/2013 i have as of yet received my disabiity payment that was filed to the company in july 2013 and i have been back to work since 8/1213- from a surgery that put me in a stepdown unit and they will not pay that claim only because the bill does not say stepdown and the hospital makes no distinction between a stepdown unit in billing, i have the doctor orders sheet for proof and they will not accept that- the woman i talked with was very rude and all i was trying to do was rectify the situation- pissed me off-i have lots of insurance through these people but not for long- and where my wife works at least 75 people have this insurance but not for long as this company is a scam- i understand the process and even the agent who sold these policies cannot get anything done and does not understand as all paperwork went through him to make sure done correctly. so for the one who got paid your lucky. disabilty go wth aflac or allstate- allstate paid on time

The telephone reps have no clue what the policy is even supposed to pay.

They tell you all kind of wrong things and will lie and then lie some more. AVOID!!!!!!!

You need to get an attorney and get in line with the other policyholders who are suing Manhattan AKA CUL . They changed their name because of all the lawsuits.
